Financial services firms still feeling the pain from sullied reputations

The events of the past half-decade (or more) have left the average American utterly untrusting of those in the financial industry, for good reason. Although obviously there are exceptions to the rule, the bad behavior displayed has left a lasting stain on the industry.

The PR pros at Makovsky Integrated Communications polled financial services firms about the state of their own reputations, as well as the industry as a whole, and shared its results in an eye-opening infographic:

 

81% of Financial Service companies continue to struggle with reputational and customer service

issues stemming from the financial crisis six years ago.

Nothing motivates corporations like losing money, and losing money they are. Look for major changes in those who plan to stick around, and look for players who refuse to adapt to the realities of modern reputation management to be making their way out of the game.
