Discussing the popular chain’s food norovirus contamination crisis

Chipotle seemed to be on the verge of navigating its way out of reputation woes brought on by an outbreak of illness in recent patrons spanning seven states. That is, until 80 Boston College students fell ill with norovirus after eating at a local Chipotle store. Similar issues recently shook Costco and nearly wiped Blue Bell off the map, which means the popular burrito chain that’s touted itself as leap years ahead in terms of freshness and product quality has a lot of ‘splainin to do to its loyal customers.

In an interview with APM Marketplace’s Nancy Marshall-Genzer, our own Jonathan Bernstein shared his thoughts on yesterday’s widely panned interview with Chipotle co-CEO Steve Ells along with some crisis management recommendations for the troubled fast-food chain.
