The time to prepare for a cyber attack is before it happens, not while you’re picking up the pieces
A recent poll from the cybersecurity experts at CyberEdge returned some startling stats. A full 71% of respondents’ networks were breached in 2014, 59% saw a rise in mobile device threats, and 52% believe a successful attack is likely in 2015. Why, then, are so many organizations resting on their laurels with, at best, SOME operational plans to cover the consequences of a successful cyber threat, but no crisis communications plans?
One issue is education, and we plan to keep sharing stats like those found in the infographic below until preparing for cyber attacks is common practice:
